In the Name of Allah.
The Supremacy of Allah over us is also evident in the fact that our deepest thoughts are known to Him. One may not know another person’s intention, but Allah knows all our thoughts and plans – previous, present and future (before we plan it).
He says (in Surah An-Nahl [16] verse 19): “And Allah knows what you conceal and what you reveal.”
Hence, the best of us is he who is honest in his intention (which results in his action) towards Allah and his fellow being. Of course, an action shall be judged according to intention. Moreover, intention can’t be divorced from action. So, good action is always a result of good intentions whilst bad action is equally a result of bad intentions.
No doubt that honesty is integral to the strength of one’s faith. One must be convinced that what one is doing is the best and the most rational. Of course, you should remember that no action is performed except that it is recorded by the two sentinel Angels. [See Surah Qaaf (50) verse 18]
Thus, always consider the Day when your action record book shall be brought forth for you to read (by yourself).
I beseech Allah to make it easy for us to always have good intentions and actions. (Aameen)
