In the Name of Allāh.

O, People! Think of those before you (especially the transgressors of them). Where are those who possessed great luxuries, cities and unlawfully amassed public funds? Where are they today? Allāh says (in Surah Maryam [19] verse 98): “And how many have We destroyed before them of generations? Can you find a single one of them or hear even a whisper of them?” Indeed, the time has eliminated them for the repay of their deeds – either good or evil.

Let’s draw lessons from these people. They left all their possessions to the grave either for happiness or misery. Allāh says (in Surah Al-‘Imran [3] verse 185): “Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full…”

I beseech Allāh to increase our goodness. (Aameen)
