In the Name of Allāh.
Indeed, worship is a comprehensive term that includes all actions (such as praying, fasting, supplicating, giving charity, calling to the Religion of Allāh, etc.) that are pleased by Allāh and done solely for Him in all sincerity (i.e. establishing that He Alone deserves it since He is our Lord) with the hope of having His Reward and not tormented with His Punishment.
Allāh instructed His Messenger (in Sūrah Al-An’ām [6] verse 162): “Say (O Muḥammad ﷺ): Verily, my Ṣalāh (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allāh, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (Mankind, Jinns and all that exist).”
I need to add that, an act of worship done solely for the Pleasure of Allāh must be by the methodology (way or teaching) of our beloved Prophet (ﷺ). On this, many people fail by ditching the pristine way to invent their bogus ways due to ignorance or the devil’s deception. How can their perilous ways be accepted?
I beseech Allāh to make us those who sincerely worship Him Alone, following the teaching of His Messenger. (Aameen)
