In the Name of Allāh.
The best investment and provision indeed a believer can make for himself to obtain Allāh’s Pleasure is having Taqwā (consciousness) of Allāh. Allāh says (in Sūrah Al-An’ām [6] verse 32): “But far better is the house in the Hereafter (i.e. Paradise) for those who are Al-Muttaqūn (i.e. those who are conscious of Allāh). Will you not then understand?”
Taqwā is to fear Allāh even in (the potential sin of) a mustard seed. More so, one can’t be considered pious until he leaves what may be permissible with the fear that it is not or that it may lead him to the detestable. Is that how we are? Are we among the Muttaqūn (i.e. those who have Taqwā) or the transgressors and oblivious? Do we fear Allāh as our pious predecessors? Or do we fall short of that?
I beseech Allāh to make us His pious slaves. (Aameen)
