GREETING AND CONGRATULATING THEM

In the Name of Allāh.

Excellent indeed it is to have the angels felicitate and welcome you to Paradise in the Hereafter. So, won’t you give it all it takes to achieve that?

On the Day of Resurrection, Allāh will gather the believers, together with their loved ones, from among their fathers, family members, and offspring, those who are righteous and deserve to enter Paradise, so that their eyes are comforted by seeing one another. He will also elevate the grades of those who are lower to the grades of those who are higher, a favor from Him out of His Kindness, without decreasing the grades of those who are higher up (in Paradise).

The angels will come from every direction, congratulating them for entering Paradise, welcoming them with the Islamic greeting, and commending them for earning Allāh’s Closeness and Rewards (in Paradise), neighbors to the honorable Messengers, the Prophets, and the truthful believers.

There is a Ḥadīth narrated by ‘Abdullāh Ibn ‘Amr Ibn Al-‘As in Musnad Aḥmad, that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said, Allāh will say to whom He will among His angels, “Go to them and welcome them with the Salām.” The angels will say, “We are the residence of Your heaven and the best of Your creation, do You command us to go to them and welcome them with the Salām!”

Allāh will say, “They are My servants who worshipped Me and did not associate anyone or anything with Me in worship. With them, the outposts were secured and the afflictions were warded off. One of them would die while his need is in his chest, unable to satisfy it.” So the angels will go to them from every gate (of Paradise), saying (as informed in Sūrah Ar-Rad, verse 24):

سَلَمٌ عَلَيْكُم بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ
Salāmu ‘Alaykum (peace be upon you) for that you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!”

This is a great honor for the true slaves of Allāh who didn’t associate partners with Him in worship; they performed righteous deeds and firmly remained on the Right Path till they met their Lord. Paradise is their Reward. Excellent indeed is their final home!

I beseech Allāh to make us one of them. (Aameen)
