In the Name of Allāh.

Perfect praise is to Allāh and may His choicest Blessings be upon our Noble Prophet (ﷺ). Sometimes, we find it hard to identify an enemy (among humans). However, regarding Shaytan, Allāh makes it clear-cut.  He says (in Surah Yusuf [12] verse 5): “Verily, Shaytan is to man an open enemy!”

You may ask how he’s an enemy to man. Allāh says (in Surah An-Noor [24] verse 21): “O you who believe! Do not follow the footsteps of Shaytan, and whosoever follows the footsteps of Shaytan, then, verily he (i.e., Shaytan) commands Fahsha’ [i.e. to commit indecency and lewdness (illegal sexual intercourse, etc.)] and Al-Munkar [disbelief and polytheism (i.e. to do evil and wicked deeds; to speak or to do what is forbidden in Islam, etc.)]…” Therefore, Allāh warns us against the doomed Shaytan.

I beseech Allāh to save us from disobeying Him by pleasing Iblees. (Aameen)
