In the Name of Allāh.

The echoes of the Day of Reckoning reverberate within us, a relentless beat that intensifies with each day that goes by. The curtain is about to be lifted on the scene of judgment, as the nursing mother forgets her child and the expectant mother drops her fetus.

On that Day, two blasts of the trumpet will sound — one heralding terror and death, and the second announcing resurrection. The heavens shall be rived asunder, and eight angels will carry the Throne of our Lord, filling the atmosphere with sorrow, cries of desperation, and torment.

The screams of men, the sobs of women, and the wails of infants will be heard. Some will plead for relief, while others will wish for death or a return to dust. Where, oh where, are the false gods and oppressive rulers of this earthly existence? They will not escape. The fury of Hell will be immense, indeed asking for more.

Allāh calls our attention: “Draws near for mankind their reckoning, while they turn away in heedlessness.” [Sūrah Al-Anbiyā’ (21): 1] Who will you be before the unsparing angels on that designated Day? It is time to awaken our slumbering souls and promptly act because now is the opportunity to work, for later might never arrive. Make the most of today; transform minutes into years and seconds into months. Let each moment be a testament to your devotion — a candle glowing in the dark, a flame of faith that shall never be snuffed out.

The clarion call for action is clear: “Correctly believe, sincerely worship Allāh and seek His Pardon and be ready to bid this transient world goodbye.” We must be vigilant, for the Day of Reckoning is nigh, and we should not find ourselves lacking.
