ISLĀM IS TRULY EASY

In the Name of Allāh.

Verily, we know practising Islām (i.e. strictly obeying Allāh) to be intrinsically easy as Allāh tells us (in Sūrah Al-Ḥajj [22] verse 78): “…And has not laid upon you in religion any hardship.”

Therefore, observing Ṣalāh, wearing the prescribed Ḥijāb (for women), not visiting the soothsayers, etc., are all easy. If it was to be difficult, Allāh won’t have ordered those obligations and prohibitions. He says (in Sūrah Al-Baqarah [2] verse 286): “Allāh burdens not a person beyond his scope…” Then, is there anyone who will say Islām is difficult?

However, the ease of Islām does not mean permitting the forbidden (like abandoning Zakah or committing Zina) and forbidding the permitted (like keeping the beards). So, let’s not get the message misconstrued.

I beseech Allāh to ease our affairs. (Aameen)
