In the Name of Allāh.
Verily, when we stumble and fall, when we err and sin, Shayṭān is quick to sow the seeds of doubt, to whisper in our ears, “You are unworthy of Allāh’s Mercy. You are too far gone to repent. There is no point in turning back.”
Therefore, we turn away from the path of righteousness, distancing ourselves from our Creator, allowing Shayṭān to lead us deeper and deeper into transgression. Dear brethren, let’s not give in to the deceitful whisperings of Shayṭān, the insidious tempter that lurks in our hearts, leading us astray and pulling us away from the Light of Allāh.
Remember, Allāh is the Most Merciful, the Off-Forgiving. He is quick to accept our repentance, to erase our sins, to guide us back to the straight path. Abū Hurayrah (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) reported: Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Allāh is more joyful with the repentance of one of you (when he turns penitently towards Him) than one of you would be on finding his lost camel.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2675]
So, let us not lose hope, let us not despair, let us seek the Forgiveness and Mercy of Allāh for our sins. Abū Hurayrah also reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “If your sins were to reach the heavens and then you repented, Allāh would still accept your repentance.” [Sunan Ibn Mājah 4248]
We indeed have an assurance of forgiveness from Allāh when we repent to Him. Thus, do not fall prey to the whispers of Shayṭān, O servants of Allāh. Turn to your Creator, turn to your Lord, turn to the One who holds your soul in His Hands. Repent with humility, sincerity, honesty, with a promise to sin no more, with a sincere desire to be forgiven, and Allāh will forgive you, will envelop you in His Mercy, will lead you back to the Light.
I beseech Allāh to forgive our sins, our shortcomings, our trespasses, that we may be guided back to the path of righteousness, the path of truth, the path of Islām. Aameen.
