In the Name of Allāh.
With only one Friday left until the completion of this blessed month of Ramaḍān 1446 A.H, a sense of unease settles on our faces. This could potentially be one’s last opportunity!
Today, our Masajid overflow with worshippers as we gather to connect with Allāh. Oh, the magnificence of Ṣalāh Al-Jumu’ah is simply awe-inspiring! It is evident how quickly we have intensified our devotion to the Lord of the Majestic Throne — through prayer, fasting, reciting the Qur’ān, giving charity, behaving with civility, and engaging in various other commendable deeds.
However, how do we sustain this momentum after Ramaḍān? This is a question we must sincerely ask ourselves. Once the blessed month concludes, we might find ourselves distracted by worldly attractions, and soon the Maradah Ash-Shayāṭīn (the most rebellious devils) will be unleashed.
Let us, therefore, set goals for how we envision ourselves by the time the next Ramaḍān arrives, In Shā Allāh. Abū Hurayrah reported: The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said, “Take up good deeds only as much as you are able, for the best deeds are those done regularly even if they are few.” [Sunan Ibn Mājah, 4240]
I beseech Allāh to grant us the wisdom to focus on the reward of Jannah, the discipline to uphold our righteous actions, and the humility to remain devoted servants of Allāh, Most High, as this Ramaḍān approaches its end. Aameen.
