QUALITY OF ADVICE

In the Name of Allāh.

From the excellent features of the true Muslims is giving Naseehah (advice, i.e. enjoining good and forbidding evil) to one another, whether requested or not. Nothing makes them possess this great quality except that they follow the veracious path of our beloved Prophet (ﷺ) as there are many narrations from him telling us to always advise one another.

More so, closely studying the calamities plaguing us today, one will see the fact that they are also from not enjoining good and forbidding evil. Though Allāh commands (in Surah Aal-‘Imran [3] verse 104): “Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma’ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful.”

Let me ask you this; won’t Zina (unlawful sexual relation) have been stamped out and would sexually transmitted diseases (like HIV) have thus surfaced, if we all kick against that sinful act? Giving Naseehah is certainly vital.

I beseech Allah to please make it easy for us to do what He commanded. (Aameen)
