MORE ABOUT THE ṢALĀH

In the Name of Allāh.

I earlier discussed the obligation of Jumu’ah prayer that, the one who abandons the Jumu’ah prayer without a valid reason (in Islām) is undoubtedly a sinner. However, the exempted (i.e. those known to have valid excuses) include a traveler (who can shorten his prayer), a sick (who is not vibrant enough to set out for prayer), and one with a sick person (whilst at severe state), the women and others who are ordinarily exempted from the congregational obligation of the five daily prayers.

More so, from the things associated with the Jumu’ah prayer is that we specially prepare for it as we do for ‘Eid prayers (which are just two) by performing Ghusl (ritual bath [which is not different from others except through its intention]), clipping our nails, trimming our moustache and removing the hair at our pubic and armpit if necessary, wearing the best of our clothes and applying perfume (by men), etc. It’s Jumu’ah again, let’s start preparing.

I beseech Allāh to make us His humble slaves who hear, believe and obey. (Aameen)
