In the Name of Allāh.
Alḥamdulillāh for the blessing of Islām. No one sincerely studies it except that he accepts it or at least attests to its truth. In the face of malicious lies and vile criticisms from those who reject the truth about Allāh, His Book (the Qur’ān), His Religion (Islām), and His Messenger (Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ), the Messenger (ﷺ) remain unassailable, and the light of Islām undimmed by the darkness of falsehood.
Amazingly, a lot of truth-seekers keep accepting this Divine Faith. This is as Allāh promises: “They (the disbelievers, the Jews, and the Christians) want to extinguish Allāh’s Light (Islāmic Monotheism with which Muḥammad ﷺ has been sent) with their mouths, but Allāh will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the Kāfirūn (disbelievers) hate (it).” [Sūrah At-Tawbah (9): 32]
It’s funnier, this time, to hear the lies heaped around Islām or Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ) just to discredit him. Even the great minds of history, their intellects unclouded by the veils of prejudice, have testified to the truth and influence of Islām. Michael H. Hart, a Christian himself, recognized Muḥammad (ﷺ) as the most influential person in history, a testament to the truth and power of Islām in the face of the disbelievers. He said: “My choice of Muḥammad to lead the list of the world’s most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels.” [The 100: A Ranking of the Most Most Influential Persons in History, New York, 1978, pg. 33]
Also, Thomas Carlyle said: “The lies (Western slander) which well-meaning zeal has heaped round this man (Muḥammad) are disgraceful to ourselves only.” He added: “It is a great shame for anyone to listen to the accusation that Islām is a lie and that Muḥammad was a fabricator and a deceiver. We saw that he remained steadfast upon his principles, with firm determination; kind and generous, compassionate, pious, virtuous, with real manhood, hardworking and sincere. Besides all these qualities, he was lenient with others, tolerant, kind, cheerful, and praiseworthy, and perhaps he would joke and tease his companions. He was just, truthful, smart, pure, magnanimous, and present-minded; his face was radiant as if he had lights within him to illuminate the darkest of nights; he was a great man by nature who was not educated in a school nor nurtured by a teacher as he was not in need of any of this.” [Heroes, Hero Worship and the Heroic in History, 1840]
Dear Muslim, be proud of the faith you hold dear, for even those who once stood against it have come to see the truth and light of Islām. Let their words serve as a reminder that Allāh’s Promise will always be fulfilled, that no matter how great the opposition, Islām shall prevail.
I beseech Allāh to protect us from the whispers of the devils, always guide us to the truth, and grant us steadfastness in our faith, Aameen.
