In the Name of Allāh.
O mankind, lend an ear and listen to the stirring words of Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ), for indeed, he has spoken of a treasure far greater than any earthly wealth, a treasure that is the very essence of the Muslims’ faith, the beating heart of Islām: The Glorious Qur’ān.
The Qur’ān isn’t just a Book of worship for the Muslims, but rather a guide for our existence, a light in the darkness, a beacon of guidance and truth. It’s the Magnificent Miracle bestowed upon our beloved Prophet (ﷺ), a Miracle of wisdom and beauty, a Miracle that has stood the test of time. It’s an outstanding blessing granted to mankind that has guided generations of people on the path of righteousness and faith.
Allāh says: “Alif-Lam-Ra. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ān, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. (This is) a Book which We have revealed unto you (O Muḥammad ﷺ) so that you might lead mankind out of darkness (of disbelief and polytheism) into light (of belief in the Oneness of Allāh and Islāmic Monotheism) by their Lord’s Leave to the Path of the All-Mighty, the Owner of all Praise.” [Sūrah Ibrāhīm (14): 1]
With its many virtues, unparalleled wisdom, and its transcendent beauty, the Qur’ān is not just a Book to be admired from afar, but rather a Book to be learned, to be studied, to be cherished as a precious gift from Allāh, Most High, Most Glorious. It teaches us excellent manners such as tolerance, nice dealings with people, pardoning others’ shortcomings, patience over misfortunes, dressing modestly, shunning illegal sexual intercourse, etc.
‘Uthman Ibn ‘Affān (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said: “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’ān and teach it.” [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhāri (5027)] Dear brethren, let’s strive to be among those blessed ones, those who take the Qur’ān into their hearts, who dedicate their lives to its study and its understanding and live by it. For in this, lies the path to greatness, to enlightenment, to a life lived in the light of Allāh’s Grace and Mercy.
I beseech Allāh to always guide us on the path of righteousness, faith, and devotion and grant us the strength and the courage to walk in His Way, guided by His Word, inspired by His Will. Aameen.
