In the Name of Allāh.
One remarkable habit of highly effective individuals is SYNERGY. As Allāh states: “…Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwā (virtues, righteousness, and piety); but do not help one another in sins and transgression…” [Sūrah Al-Mā’idah (5): 2]
The foundation of both religious and worldly prosperity lies in cooperation for good. It is through the strength of synergy that we can navigate the challenges of life, pave the way to success, and establish a society that radiates the teachings of Islām, dispelling the shadows of ignorance and injustice.
Shaykh Ibn Bāz (Raḥimahullāh) noted: “It is well known that people’s interactions cannot be sound, and their interests cannot be achieved and they cannot be united and their enemies cannot feel any awe of them except using Islāmic solidarity, the reality of which is cooperation in righteousness and piety, and mutual support, love, sincerity, and urging one another to follow the truth and be steadfast and patient…” [Fatāwā Shaykh Ibn Bāz 2/192, 193].
We witness this beautifully during this blessed month, particularly in initiatives aimed at feeding the poor and needy. Numerous feeding programs have emerged in Ramaḍān, and it is my hope that they continue throughout the year. Nourishing the hungry should not be limited to just this month; we must normalize such acts of kindness. Abu Shurayḥ reported: He said, “O Messenger of Allāh, tell me something that will guarantee Paradise for me.” The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) replied, “Speak kind words, offer peace, and feed the hungry.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Ḥibbān 509]
Furthermore, part of doing good includes collaborating on societal common goals — such as providing safe drinking water, quality healthcare, security measures, a robust educational system, and opportunities for empowerment. These objectives are not solely the responsibility of the Government; we all must step up for one another to improve our world.
Dear brethren, let us come together, build bonds of compassion and cooperation, and strive to create a world filled with goodwill and the harmony of righteousness, by the Grace of Allāh.
I beseech Allāh to guide, strengthen, and unite us so that we may embody the change we desire in this world and be the beacon that illuminates the darkness. Aameen.
