THICKER THAN BLOOD

In the Name of Allāh.

Praise is to Allāh, the Lord of the ‘Alamin. He created a strong brotherhood (with sincere love) between the believers, as they are united together upon the Deen (i.e. Islam). He then warned them on disunity which is usually caused by transgressors.

Respected Brethren, we should believe with certainty and always remember the saying of Allāh (in Surah Al-Hujraat [49] verse 10): “The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islam).” Undoubtedly, this brotherhood is thicker than blood relation as some things exist only between believers. For this, our relationship is most times quite different with non-Muslims (even if related by blood). Though, this does not debar the peaceful coexistence between us and them.

However, it’s doleful that some Muslims have replaced the brotherhood of Islam with the brotherhood of family, skin color, country, political party, etc. Sincerely, we need to be careful and abandon this act. Let’s be united upon the sound creed like our pious predecessors during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).

I beseech Allah to assist us. (Aameen)
