In the Name of Allāh.
The moon has been sighted, and Ramaḍān is finally here. What a delightful guest it is, bringing with it an abundance of blessings. Its joyful news and celebrations are felt everywhere. Perfect praise be to Allāh, Who loves us greatly and grants us this blessed month. By Allāh! I can feel the magnificence of Ramaḍān.
This month is truly unlike any other! O Brethren, take note of the arrival of Ramaḍān, a month that embodies the essence of Mercy and Forgiveness, inviting us to yield to the Will of Allāh, Most High. It is a time for Piety, Sobriety, Humility, Unity, Generosity, Repentance, Patience, Compliance, and above all, Paradise. As Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Fawzān (Hafiẓahullāh) stated on his official website, “It is OBLIGATORY upon a Muslim to welcome Ramaḍān with Tawbah, Istighfār, and happiness, and joy.”
Dear brethren, do you desire to have your past sins forgiven? Now is the time — prepare yourselves! Abū Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said, “Whoever fasts the month of Ramaḍān due to faith and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. Whoever stands in prayer during the Night of Decree due to faith and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.” [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1901, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 760]
Do you truly possess perfect faith? Are you fasting merely because others are observing the fast? Now is the moment to purify your intention before it becomes too late.
I beseech Allāh to grant us the strength to fast sincerely, the wisdom to seek His Forgiveness, and the mercy to be among the inhabitants of Jannah Al-Firdaws. Ameen.
Ramaḍān Mubārak!
